Randomness of Life

Banjo, who joined us for part of the Thank you party :)

I love how when you wake up in the morning, you get ready to leave and you have your list of what you have to accomplish that day. However, as the day goes on you start to see that things are turning out differently then planned. Life takes us on these mini adventures and though we may think we are prepared, it always has a way of surprising us. Sometimes good and other times bad. However, if we focus on the good and just look around we may see things we would have missed had we not looked.

I had done a thank you party a while back for the Volunteers at Last Hope Cat Kingdom (lasthopesanctuary.org). I know many could not make it or there plans hand changed, however, many that I did not even know were coming showed up. The plan was to cook at one house and hold it at that same place, however, when we got there we were then told we were moving to another house (which that house had the same surprise as us and had to rush to get their home welcomed for us. (Thank You Travis again!), I figured, me and one other volunteer (Ladi -Thank You) were the only ones bringing something and another volunteer showed up with food (Thank you to both Renate’s! One came for a short bit the other was unable to come both contributed!) as well. As we sat there talking I was so pleased at how my plans though t

hey were happening had been changed and yet were still going well.

Then an adventure happened. I was asked if I wanted to go on a ride out through the farm at Last Hope and video tape, of course I said yes!!! There I was video taping and talking about how the pigs did not come running because they had already gotten into the food and ate a WEEKS worth of food (oh no), but they did all go back into their pen when they were called. (amazing they did it with out any problems they had the whole farm to go wander and then when called the went into their pen lol) Well then we went to feed the horses, I am video taping the donkeys coming up and the mini pony, and Travis as she is feeding the horses, we feed the goats and the other horses (by we I mean I video taped and she fed, I did offer to help lol) We got back to the party and sat down. Me being my usual photographing self I started taking more pictures as I had done earlier that day of each of the people there. Then Travis said something.

“Have you seen my glasses?”

Then the true adventure started. Up and around we all got (Travis, Danny and I) looking for her glasses. I suddenly had an Idea, my camera! I took pictures, I figured i could figure out a time frame. Well even better we saw that before the video she had her glasses and and after she did not, so she lost it during the video, I hit replay and we we were off walking down the paths we took, me watching the video and her looking around outside. I finally got to the point when they vanished and had the time frame. It was between getting the hey, throwing the hay to the horse, and kissing the mini pony. So we started to look, sure enough right by the horse (Chic’s) Pen there were her glasses.

Life throws us into adventures, from the start of the day to that point neither of us would have guessed we would be on a glasses hunt, nor would we have thought we would have been at her house for the party. I took time by myself later that day and went to look around. I took pictures of dogs, and cats, and birds and bugs, and farm animals and people, and well you get the point. My camera is my best friend, it is like my seeing eye glasses, Without it I am blind or can not work, just like Travis her glasses are a necessity of life, My camera is the same. However, I would never know that had my adventure in life not taken me here!
